Sabhal-na-Mara is
a converted stone barn which we have extensively modernised over the
last few years whilst retaining the character of the house. We use
the property ourselves for a portion of the year and so it contains
everything you would expect in a modern comfortable home.
We have a large private garden, mainly grass, running down to a small
inlet from Loch Carron which is ideal for children. Garden table and
chairs are provided along with a barbecue, so you can sit and enjoy
the views over Loch Carron while drinking your early evening G &
T!
The kitchen, lounge and master bedroom have been refurbished in the
last two years and the kitchen has a dining area with a table and
bench seating. The dining room overlooks the garden and is ideal for
that leisurely evening meal after a hard days sightseeing.
The picturesque village of Plockton is an ideal base for trips to
the Isle of Skye and touring the Western Highlands. The village has
a shop, Post Office and a number of hotels and restaurants where you
can sample traditional highland cuisine, with seafood a local specialty.
