The National Trust for Scotland has completed the development of a new Visitor Centre at the main car park in Plockton.
The development was undertaken with support from Scottish Natural Heritage and focuses upon the historic and natural environment of Plockton and the wider Balmacara Estate with the emphasis very much on crofting.
The Trust are collaborating with the Plockton Historical Society, who will also have a new display of historic photos and artefacts within the building. The centre is relatively low key and will be unstaffed most of the time, although Trust staff and members of the Historical Society will be present from time to time throughout the season.
Please note: The Visitor Centre closed on 24 October 2011 and will re-open on 1 April 2012.
