Head out of Plockton and over the bridge at the station.
Carry on to the bridge at Duirnish and |

either: turn right through Duirnish
and carry on to Kyle of Lochalsh. Follow the sign in the village for
the Balmacara road, which you will reach at the traffic lights. Turn
left on to the Balmacara road (A87) and head for Dornie, passing through
Reraig. |

or: head straight on up the
hill, keeping to the left at the junction at the top. Head down, through
Balmacara, and arrive at the A87. Turn left towards Dornie, passing
through Reraig. |

Drive through Dornie, with Eilean Donan Castle on your
right. Continue on past Inverinate, Shiel Bridge, up through Glen
Shiel, past the Cluny Hotel and Loch Cluny. After the end of the loch,
carry directly on through Glen Moriston to Invermoriston (now on the
A887). |

Drive through Invermostiston, and up
the west side of Loch Ness, passing Urquhart Castle and Drumnadrochit
(now on the A82). |

You will arrive in Inverness on the
Tomnahurich Road. Follow signs for city centre. |
