The epidemic enters a dangerous phase |
| With the number of new cases easing significantly, the outbreak has lost the media's attention, with the resulting danger of complacency. If control measures are relaxed, the disease can hit back. This happened in 1967. We ask all visitors to follow the Comeback Code, and to avoid livestock. | |
| According to the Scottish Executive site, culls have recently taken place at Biggar, Brechin and Kilmarnock. In England and Wales, there have been outbreaks in Settle and the Brecon Beacons. Details are hard to find. | |
