FMD Finished?
21 November 2001	No new cases since 30 September
The epidemic is officially over if 30 days have past since an infection. The last case confirmed was at Appleby, Cumbria, on 30 September. But it's too early to write off FMD, and pockets may still exist. (The disease is more virulent in damp and cold conditions.)
