National Trust for Scotland Opens
20 April 2001	NTS opens properties in Lochalsh for walkers
NTS, having canvassed local opinion and made risk assessments, are able to open almost all of their most significant routes, other than those passing through crofting or township grazing land. Open routes are:
Kyle to Balmacara Scalpay Bay to Loch Scalpay Balmacara to Reraig, but not as far as Kirkton Balmacara to Achnahinich Plockton to Duncraig
Reraig to Kirkton, and the coastal route to Little Badicaul remain closed, with the latter under review.
Lochalsh Woodland Gardens are open as normal.
