Situated in the centre of the beautiful village of Plockton and surrounded by magnificent countryside, this renovated barn comprises an open-plan sitting room with fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with walk-in shower, and two bedrooms, a twin and a double.
There is oil-fired central heating throughout.
Although in the centre of the village, the cottage is secluded, being set back from the road. There is a small private garden area with seating available beside the house or you can choose to sit in the front garden to admire one of the best views in Scotland (I actually think it is the best view in Scotland).
It is particularly beautiful at dawn on a summer’s morning with the sun coming up over the mountains to the east or in the evening with the afterglow of the sunset lighting up the Crags across the loch.
Convenient parking is available in the free public car park just across the road or in a private area beside the house.
The village has several hotels and restaurants which provide food of a very high standard, frequently enjoyed by local people as well as by visitors. There is also traditional music in two of the hotels covering three nights of the week during the summer months.
The surrounding area offers endless opportunities for walking and touring, being within easy reach of both Skye and Kintail. Guided walks are available through the National Trust Ranger service based at Morvich.
